Virginia Jacqueline Gentry Kilby Bowers, 77, of Johnson City passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Earl Wesley Gentry and Ina Kate Barnes Gentry. She was born March 27, 1936 in Johnson City, TN. She is survived by: two daughters, Lisa Kilby Carver (David) and Robin Kilby Oliver (Rick); four step-children, Tony Bowers (Sharon), Tonya Bowers Baker (Joe), Tammy Bowers Echelbarger (Jon) and Robert Bowers; sister, Ellen Jerry Phillips; five grandchildren, Kelli Carver Armstrong (Will), Matthew Carver (Megan), Chris Carver (Karen), Alex Carver (girlfriend Jenn Border) and Rikki Oliver (fiancé Wayne Jacobs); two great-grandchildren, Addison Carver and Emily Carver; six step-grandchildren, Logan Bowers, Allie Baker, Jessie Baker, Michael Echelbarger, Michelle Echelbarger and Beth Ann Echelbarger; Host of nieces, nephews, special friends from Texas Instruments, Otterbein United Methodist Church and Hillcrest neighbors. Virginia 'Jackie'? is preceded in death by: father, Earl W. Gentry; mother, Ina K. Gentry; two husbands, Raymond E. Kilby and Bob A. Bowers; great-grandson, Keaton Wayne Oliver Jacobs. Jackie was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church. She was a loving spouse, mother and grandmother dedicated to family and friends, was a Johnson City native but in earlier years lived in Alaska, Texas, North & South Carolina. Jackie was a long term Texas Instruments employee. She enjoyed traveling, camping, shopping and family time together.
