Virginia Merle Sellers

Virginia Merle Womble Hoffman Sellers, 71, Hampton, died Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Appalachian Christian Village. Mrs. Sellers was a native of Vass, NC and was a daughter of the late Horton and Sarah Jane Stutts Womble. Two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. Sellers was a retired employee of the food service. She was a member of Sanford Chapel Church. Mrs. Sellers was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband, Rodger L. Sellers, Hampton; four daughters, Deborah K. Williamson and her husband, Jerry, Bluff City, Judi Johnson and her husband, Danny, Roan Mountain; Karen R. Arcaro and her significant other, Jerry Barden, Gray and Sharmon Dee Hoffman Cook, Columbia, SC; fourteen grandchildren and (her jewels) her ten great grandchildren many nieces and nephews and a special niece, Barbara Toro. A funeral service for Mrs. Sellers will be conducted at 8 PM Tuesday, September 23, 2008 from the Morris-Baker funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend Bob Edmonds will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 12:30 P.M. Wednesday and travel in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Williamson, Jason Johnson, Ronald Mangum, Jr., Tim Smith and Paul Hoffman. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Sue Coleman and the staff of Appalachian Christian Village the staff of Hillview Nursing Home and Adventa Hospice.
