Virginia S. Rebmann

August 1, 1921 — October 16, 2005

Virginia S. Rebmann, 84 of 1003 Whittling Wood Drive, formerly of 805 Hillmoor Drive, Johnson City, died Sunday, October 16, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was a native of Erwin, daughter of the late Porter R. Sr. and Mae Stewart. She retired after 36 years at the VA Medical Center as a Registered Nurse. Ms. Rebmann was a member of the Johnson City Alliance Church, was the former Chairman of the Christian Women?s Club and also a member of the Windows to Porcelain Art Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Leonard Rebmann; a sister, Margaret Gough and two brothers, Porter R. 'Bobby' Stewart, Jr. and Jack David Stewart. Survivors include: a son, Steven Rebmann of Johnson City; a daughter, Judy Monroe of Oviedo, Florida; a sister, Jewel Beard of Las Crucis, NM; two granddaughters, Roxanne L. Rebmann, Johnson City and Amy Monroe, of Washington DC; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at the Morris - Baker Funeral Home North Chapel under the direction of Rev. Arthur Joyce at 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at eight. A committal service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at the Monte Vista Memorial Park, family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home to leave in procession at 9:45 a.m.
