Walter Grant Brabston Jr. has recovered and is living happy, joyous, and free with his creator. Mr. Brabston retired in 2005 from the City of Knoxville with 25 years of service. He was employed by the U.T. Athletic Department as a gatekeeper and Knox County Schools as a bus driver. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. Mr. Brabston was a Mason-Scottish Rite 32nd degree and member of the Master Lodge #763 Burlington. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Walter G. Sr. and Ernestine Akers Brabston; daughter, Kimberly Brabston; step-mother, Jo Brabston; and his sponsor, Harry D. Survivors include: two sons, Chris Shark and Mason Brabston; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Roger Burchett; special friend, Sandra Brabston; many nieces and nephews; and many friends in the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous.
