Wanda Miller Rash

Wanda Miller Rash, age 78, of Jonesborough passed away Monday, December 23, 2013, in the Johnson City Medical Center. Wanda was a lifelong resident of Washington County. She was the daughter of the late George Dawson and Beulah Frances Miller. In addition to her parents one infant daughter, Peggy Sharon Rash; one brother, Emery Lewis Miller also preceded her in death. Wanda retired from the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company in 1990 as an accounts receivable clerk after eighteen years of service. She also retired in 2001 from Siemens Corporation after eight years as an accounts payable clerk. She was a member of the New Victory Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Kevin Allen Rash of Johnson City; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Rash of Johnson City; two sisters, Alma Lee Edwards and her husband Gene of Jonesborough and Anna Sue Hicks and her husband Albert of Jonesborough; one brother, Fred Miller and his wife Norma of Dobson, NC.; three granddaughters; two grandsons; two great-nephews; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to the nursing staff at the Johnson City Medical Center on the 5300 floor and the NHC Healthcare staff for their support and care. The family of Wanda Miller Rash will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Friday, December 27, 2013 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. The funeral service will follow in the South Chapel at 2 PM. Rev. James Cambron will officiate. The graveside committal service will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Wayne Curtis, Mike Payne, Danny Bacon, Joe Delaney, Hugh Campbell and Phil Ramsey.
