Wayne Kiser

Mr. Wayne Kiser, of Watauga, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at his home. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Carrie Alice Powers Kiser. Wayne retired from Sunbelt Homes of Myrtle Beach and was the owner and operator of Kiser Construction for 25 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach and of the Moose Lodge in Abington, VA. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Oquinn Ray and Novella Ann Oquinn Smith. He is survived by his loving soul mate Norma Campbell of the home; daughter Gina Kowalewski and husband Henry of Edgefield, SC; son John Foglesonger and wife Robin of Myrtle Beach, SC; 18 grandchildren; four sisters, Bonnie Turbyfill, Mae Buckles, Corneil Proffitt and Peggy Kiser; and two brothers, Jack Oquinn, and Warren Oquinn. The family will receive friends, Friday, 6:00-8:00pm, at Morris Baker Funeral Home with a memorial service immediately following at 8:00pm, with Dr. Kenneth Jordan officiating.
