Wayne Lancaster Miller

Wayne Lancaster Miller, age 63, Gray, TN, went to be with our Lord, Friday, April 11, 2008, at his residence. Wayne was born in Radford, Virginia, but lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was a son of the late Hunter Lancaster 'Bub'? and Mary Louise Morris Miller. Wayne was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War '' leaving service as a 1st Lieutenant and recipient of the Bronze Star Medal. He then worked as a Scout Executive for the Boy Scouts of America, Sequoyah Council. Wayne was General Manager of Sherwood Chevrolet for more than twenty years, and later served as an Associate Athletic Director for ETSU. He was recently instrumental in the re-establishment of the FCA chapter at ETSU. Wayne was a member and elder of First Presbyterian Church, Johnson City. Survivors include: his wife, Mary Margaret Hatmaker Miller; two daughters, Leigh Wayne Miller, South Lake Tahoe, CA, and Shannon Ashley Puckett, Jonesborough; son-in-law, Michael Thomas Puckett, Jonesborough; brother, Stephen Hunter Miller, Johnson City; sister, Mary Diane Cloud, Roswell, GA; grandson, Cody Reece Puckett, Jonesborough; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Leigh Puckett, Jonesborough; three nephews, Stephen Wesley Miller, Tampa, FL, and Todd Anthony Cloud and Eric Christopher Cloud, both of Atlanta, GA; and one niece Lindsay Elizabeth Cloud-Owens, Tucker ,GA.
