Wilburn Lee Holly, 78, Johnson City, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Holly was born on August 6, 1937 to the late Alva Bernard Holly, Sr. and Mamie Lee Leonard Holly. He retired from Rainbo Baking Company after 39 years. Wilburn was known by several names including: Daddy, Papaw, Wolfie, and Uncle Wibby. He was known for his extreme generosity, kindness, selflessness, and always displayed a servant?s heart. He enjoyed working outdoors, automobile repairs, and attending sporting events. His greatest joy was loving his wife, daughters and family, and especially his grandson, Jordan Holly. For over 13 years he attended and supported his grandson in sports and was known as ?Papaw' to the teams. In addition to his parents, Wilburn was preceded in death by: one sister, Kathryn Holly Moffitt; and one granddaughter, Amber Lauren Freeman. Survivors include: his wife of 58 years, Julia Christine Hoilman Holly; two daughters, Lisa Holly and Peggy Holly; one grandchild, Jordan Holly; three brothers, Q.D. Holly, A.B. Holly, Jr. and his wife Beverly, and Bobby J. Holly and his wife Mildred; one sister, Dorothy Holly Talley; and several nieces and nephews. The family of Wilburn Lee Holly will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Morris-Baker. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bryant Collins and Pastor Dylan Holly officiating. Music will be provided by: Hannah Holly Saults and Darrell Slagle. Pallbearers will be: Dennis Holly, Jim Holly, Derek Holly, Curt Holly, Landon Maden, Noah Maden, and Mark Moffitt. Honorary Pallbearers: Q.D. Holly, A.B. Holly, Jr., Rex Hoilman, Chris Fowler II, Houston Bishop, David Paduch, and Marty Phillips. A 2:30 graveside service will immediately follow at Washington County Memory Gardens.
