Wiley Tipton

Wiley Tipton, 77, of Gray, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 in the Greystone Healthcare Center in Blountville.He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a son of the late, Leater and Sarah Johnson Tipton. He was also preceded by three brothers, Talmadge Tipton, Clifford Tipton and Floyd Tipton, also one sister, Pearl Dennis Mr Tipton retired as a Machine Operator in Paper Manufacturing. Mr. Tipton was a veteran having served in the U. S. Navy and the U. S. Army. Survivors include; four sons, Wiley Richard Tipton and his wife, Anita of Friendsville, TN, Scotty Joe Tipton and his wife Beth of Gray, Tony Ray Tipton and his wife Lee of Gray and Eric Todd Tipton and his wife Angie of Piney Flats; one daughter, Kellie Lynn Grizzle and her husband Mike of Elizabethton; thirteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted from the Morris-Baker North Chapel at 7:00 pm on Monday, October 1, 2012. Burial services will be conducted at 11:00am Wednesday from the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Military Honors will be rendered at the graveside.
