With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Willa M. Vines, a beloved member of the Bluff City community. Willa, a longtime resident of Sullivan County, TN, was born on January 1, 1936. She was a dedicated hairdresser for 50 years and proudly worked at Smart Style.

Willa was a proud Tennessee Volunteer fan and enjoyed cheering on her team with passion. She was a member of Watauga Christian Church where she found solace and community. In her leisure time, Willa loved playing bingo, listening to bluegrass and gospel music, and spending quality time with her family, whom she cherished dearly.

She is survived by her loving children David (Sandra) Feathers, Roger Feathers, Teresa Cook, and Carolyn (Keith) Bennett, as well as her sister Patsy Rankin. Willa was known for her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family.

In honor of Willa's life, a funeral service will be held at Morris-Baker Funeral Home on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 8:00 pm. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place at 6:00 pm until time of service. A committal service will be held at Monte Vista Memorial Park on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Family and friends are asked to meet at Monte Vista at 1:50 PM.

Willa M. Vines will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

Willa was preceded in death by: parents, Millie Norris, Buck Norris; husbands, Owen Feathers, Harold Feathers and Marshall Vines; brother, James Norris; sisters, Lydia Quillen and Vivian White; and grandchildren, Matthew Mullins and Melanie Oliver.
