William E. Haines

William E. Haines, 85, Jacksonville, FL, went home to be with his Lord Saturday, October 31, 2015. Mr. Haines was born in Washington County and was the son of the late Cecil and Lorraine Burleson Haines. He worked for Clinchfield Railroad before transferring to Jacksonville, where he retired from CSX Railroad after 48 years of service. Mr. Haines loved to hunt and fish with family and friends. Although he will be greatly missed, he has conquered death and is in glory with his Lord Jesus. In addition to his parents, Mr. Haines was preceded in death by: one brother, CF Haines, Jr.; and two sisters, Shirley Williams and Helen Etter. Survivors include: his wife of 63 years, Joyce Haines; one son, Greg Haines, and his wife, Susan; one daughter, Joy Haines; two grandsons, Isaac Haines and Levi Haines, and his wife, Elizabeth; and one sister, Martha Stine. The family of William E. Haines will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Harold Jones officiating. Family and friends will leave the funeral home immediately following the funeral service to go in procession to Roselawn Memory Gardens for 2:00 PM graveside services.
