William Howard Hughes

William Howard Hughes, died September 24, 2011 in Telford. Howard was born in Erwin to Howard W. and Lena Mae Foster Hughes. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Pamela Gail Hughes. He is survived by his wife Cleo Ray Hughes and his children and their families; Susan Creutzinger and her husband Patrick and their son Nathan and daughter Aubrey; Karen Shelton and her husband Jamey and sons Gavin Williams and Wyatt. Howard retired from Sprint Telephone Company in 2000 with 32 years of service. His retirement years were spent farming and enjoying time with his family and friends. The graveside service will be held at Monte Vista Memorial Park, Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 2pm for family and close friends. Services will be conducted by Rev. Jamie Lively of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Greenville. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Murphy, Steve St John, John McKinney, James Ray, Fred Booth, Buddy Odom, and Pete Buchanan.
