William Leroy Jennelle, 79, of Richlands, VA, passed away December the13th 2023, at the Mountain Home Veterans hospital in Johnson City, TN.

Born in Raleigh County, WV, the son of the late Eugene and Ethel Hilton Jennelle.

Leroy grew up in Jewell Ridge, VA. He was a 1963 graduate of Richlands High school. After graduating he
enlisted In the US Army, serving in Germany until 1966.

He was formerly employed with Corcal Energy and worked in various fields of sales much of his adult life, and a member of the Richland's Masonic Lodge # 18 A.F. and A.M.

Leroy will long be remembered for his great if not quirky sense of humor. He was an avid reader, enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, a huge fan of Virginia Tech Sports, fishing and loved vacations at the beach.

Leroy knew his greatest achievement in life was when he accepted Christ as his savior.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Jon Michael Jennelle in 1985, his brothers Bob Meadows and Dan Jennelle. He is survived by his daughters, Anne Louise with her husband Gaylen Allmond of UT, and Margaret Katherine with Troy Viers of TN, his sisters Margaret Vandyke, Charlotte Jennelle, and Lois Flannery with husband Kenneth. He had 3 grandsons Matthew Dawson, Benjamin Dawson, and Sean Viers.

There will be a committal service at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Mountain Home National Cemetery (Historic Section) in Johnson City Tennessee with Chaplain Adam Page delivering the eulogy, military honors will be rendered. Please gather at the cemetery gate by 1:50 pm to go in procession to the committal shelter.
