William 'Bill' Ramsey, 92, of Johnson City, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2006 at the NHC Health Care Center in Johnson City, TN. He was born in Robert Lee, Texas and had spent most of his adult life in west Texas before moving to Johnson City in 1997. While in Texas he was the District Manager for West Texas Utilities Company. Mr. Ramsey was a member of the First United Methodist Church in San Angelo, TX and attended Our Savior Lutheran Church in Johnson City. He had graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX. He was very active in community services when in McCamey and San Angelo, TX. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Mr. Ramsey was preceded in death by his wife, Prudence Elmina Ramsey. Survivors include; one daughter, Prudence Zinser and her husband, Otto of Johnson City; two grandchildren, Kurt Zinser of Knoxville, TN and Kristin Cazell of Hickory, NC; four great grandchildren, Ethan and Reid Zinser, Lauren and Jackson Cazell. Private graveside services will be conducted Sunday, in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Rev. James Nipper will officiate. Burial will follow the service. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
