William “Bill” Robert Hopson, 70, Johnson City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2019, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Hopson was born in Johnson City to the late James “Hop” and Minnie Chapel Hopson.
Mr. Hopson retired from Rainbow Bakery, where he started working in 1970. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church, on Colorado Street. He was a Shriner and member of Arcana Masonic Lodge #489.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hopson was preceded in death by one daughter, Cyndie Widner, in 2014.
Survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Brenda Sue Hopson; and three children, Tina Wagner and her husband Wes, Toni Smith, and Sherry Burrell; and seven grandchildren, William and Jordan Wagner, Hannah Hopson-Ledford, Sarah Holly, Dustin, Dylan and Courtney.
Special thank you to the nurses with Ballad Hospice who took excellent care of Mr. Hopson.
