William Robert Bobby Ledford, Jr.

William Robert ?Bobby' Ledford, Jr. died Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Johnson City, son of the late William Robert Ledford, Sr. and Mary Opal Bunton Byrd. He was proud to have served in U. S. Army in the 11th Airborne Unit. Bobby was a retired supervisor for the American Water Heater Company and also a former employee of N&N Ball and Roller Company. He was a former Boy Scout Master, member of the Unaka Rod and Gun Club. Bobby was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, his wife, Sherry Campbell Ledford and his first wife Mary Lee Gathings Ledford preceded him in death. Survivors include: his daughter, Rhonda Ledford of the home; a son Michael Ledford and his fianc?? Darlene Simerly; two sisters, Emogene Metcalf of Maryland and Yvonne Steger of Elizabethton; five grandchildren, Cody Ledford (wife Kiki), Allison Cornett (husband Justin), Shane Ledford, Garrett Ledford and Dylan Simerly (fianc? Meredith); three great grandchildren, Marlee and Trenton Cornett and Kennedy Simerly. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Greenwood Baptist Church from 5:00pm until 6:00pm. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00pm under the direction of Pastor Harold McNabb.
