Willie John Glover, 60, 305 East Oakland Avenue, died Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Glover was a Bluff City native, a former resident of Piney Flats and had lived in Johnson City for the past few years. He was a son of the late Andrew Jackson and Grace Rosenbaum Glover. Mr. Glover was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Glover and Wayne Glover and two sisters, Frances Morgan and Pearl Dacus. He was a former security guard. Mr. Glover was a Baptist. Survivors include his loving fiancee , Nora Gregg; five daughters, Tina Ward and her husband, Randy Ward, Johnson City, Michelle Lindsey, Houston, TX, Marie Bennett, Porter, TX, Laura Miller, Lake City, FL and Jennifer Glover, Houston, TX; two step-sons, Victor Stafford, KY and Gene Stafford, Elizabethton; one sister, Shirley Perkins, Houston, TN; one brother, Doyle Glover, Houston, TX; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a great friend, Tim Malone. A funeral service for Mr. Glover will be conducted at 2 pm Thursday, June 11, 2009 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Mr. David A. Snyder will officiate. Graveside services will follow at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Carter County. Pallbearers will be selected from family members. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Thursday at the funeral home and at other times at the home of a daughter, Tina Ward, 305 East Oakland Ave, Johnson City, TN.
