Winnie Elizabeth Sheets

Winnie E. Sheets, 89, of 618 Spruce Street, Johnson City died Wednesday, August 29, 2007 in the Lakebridge Health Care Center. Mrs. Sheets was a native of Washington County, TN had lived in East Stone Gap, Virginia and St Marie, Michigan. She was a daughter of the late J. Frank and Lockie Osborne Thompson. Mrs. Sheets was a retired LPN at Johnson City Memorial Hospital and was a member of the Christian church. She is preceded in death by: her first husband, Jake Sheets in 1952 and her second husband, Grady Sheets in 2003; by one brother, Howard D. Thompson; and one sister, Edna Atkins. Survivors include: four nieces, Lois Norris, Patsy Crum, Sandra Johnston, and Sharon Evans, all of Johnson City; three nephews, Bill Thompson of Jonesborough, Randy Atkins, and Craig Atkins, both of Johnson City. A graveside funeral service for Winnie E. Sheets will be conducted at 10 AM Friday, August 31, 2007 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Rev. Bill Greer and Rev. Gene Osborne will officiate. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 9:55 AM on Friday.
