Zachary Andrew Shuck, age 25, of Johnson City, died Thursday, June 28, 2012 at his home. He was born in Renton, WA, and lived in Lowville, NY and Billings, MT. He was the son of Rev. John Andrew and Beverly OConnor Shuck, and brother of Katy Whitney Shuck. He had lived in Johnson City since 2006. Zach was a graduate of Billings West High School, Billings, MT, and attended the University of Montana '? Missoula and ETSU. He worked at various jobs and was appreciated by his employers for his excellent work ethic and cheerful demeanor. He made his coworkers laugh. Zach was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. He was active in his youth groups at First Presbyterian Church in Billings and First Presbyterian Church in Lowville. He was a summer camp counselor at the Holston Presbytery Camp in 2006. Zach will always be remembered for his love of his family, his kind and gentle spirit, and his great sense of humor. He was an avid gamer, and the familys film and TV critic. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Laura Appelgren. In addition to his parents and sister, survivors include: grandparents, Gordon Russell and Olive May Shuck, of Glendive, MT, Pat OConnor, of Billings, MT, and Else Elaine Koczan, of Pennington, NJ; great grandmother, Helen Miller, of Great Falls, MT; uncle, Gordon Shuck, and his wife, Vickey, of Glendive, MT; three aunts, Michelle Hill, and her husband, Tom, of Brooklyn, NY, Lora Scammacca, and her husband, Arthur, of Milltown, NJ, and Molly Doersch, and her husband, Ken, of Sandy Hook, CT; and several cousins. A memorial service for Zach Shuck will be conducted at 2:30 PM Sunday, July 15, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. Rev. Don Steele will officiate. Following the service, a reception will be hosted by the church in the fellowship hall.
