Morris-Baker is proud to sponsor one of the Johnson City American Little League teams: the Wildfire.
“Baseball is like a microcosm of life,” says Matt Bolton, Board President for the Johnson City American Little League. “Setbacks happen, but right around the corner there is always an opportunity to bounce back.”
Johnson City American Little League has been around since the mid-1950's. It’s one of the oldest area Little League-sanctioned youth baseball leagues. It offers several divisions: Wee-Ball (for kids 3-4), Tee-ball (4-6), Coach Pitch (6-8), and Kid Pitch (9-12).
The Wildfire is one of the Kid Pitch (Major Division) teams.
“It’s a wonderful sport for young people to learn important life lessons,” adds Bolton.
Other Johnson City American Little League Board members include Shane Wilcox, Tom Clement, Keith Taylor, Scott Linn, Ryne Davis, Bill Thomas, Clint Estep, and Jayme Leita.
Please come out and watch the Wildfire’s final game of the season on Monday, May 24 at 5:30 p.m. at Lion's Park (817 Country Club Court, in east Johnson City).
